The Board of RPC Data Ltd has appointed Mompati Darling Nwako as Executive Director.

Rob Pool, Managing Director of RPC Data, says, “We are happy to welcome Mompati to the executive team at RPC. I have known him personally for many years, and was delighted when he responded to our advertisement. We look forward to working together during the next phase of the company's growth.”

Nwako (48) retired from the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning at the end of October 2005, after thirteen years in the Public Service. By the time he retired, he had reached the position of Director of Budget Administration, responsible for the national Development Budget. Prior to his stint in the Public Service, Nwako served in various capacities in numerous multi-nationals. His professional experience equips him to understand and control the business of RPC Data, particularly with respect to the financial, accounting and human resource aspects of the project implementation of computer systems in large organisations in the private and public sectors.

He read for a Bachelors degree in commerce at the University of Botswana and Swaziland, completed his Articles of Clerkship with Coopers and Lybrand in 1984, and obtained a Professional II Diploma with the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy in London in 1997.

Outside of his professional life Nwako is the current Deputy Chairman on the Board of Trustees of the Masiela Trust Fund, a charity with the goal of helping orphans in Botswana. He harbours special interest in sport and music. He is married with three sons.
