Oracle DBA Fundamentals 1 

Class times are from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M

This course is designed to give the Oracle database administrator (DBA) a firm foundation in basic database administrative tasks.

Students gain a thorough conceptual understanding of the Oracle database architecture, and how the architectural structures of an Oracle9i database work and interact with one another. Students also learn how to create an operational database, and properly manage the various structures in an effective and efficient manner in order to have a well-designed logical and physical database.

The instructor-led lesson topics are reinforced with structured hands-on practices.

  • Create an operational database Manage Oracle logical database structures.
  • Manage Oracle physical database files
  • Manage Oracle users, privileges, and resources
  • Outline the Oracle9i architecture
  • Start up and shut down an Oracle instance
  • Use Global Support features
